Legal Responsibility of the Employer in Ensuring Occupational Safety and Health:

Employers are obligated to ensure the safety and health of workers in the workplace. This means they are accountable for providing a safe working environment free from risks that may impact the employees’ health. Accordingly, workers should not bear the costs of medical care or preventive measures related to occupational safety, including medical tests, examinations, and prescribed medications.
More specifically, this entails employers providing the necessary tools and equipment to ensure safety and health in the workplace, including providing personal protective equipment, and offering suitable training and education for workers regarding workplace safety. In case of injuries or illness, the employer must provide necessary medical care without burdening the workers with the costs. This reflects the legal responsibility of the employer towards the safety and health of workers in the workplace.
